Model Highlights
The 4-seat Aston Martin DB9 is the ultimate luxury GT, both in coupe and convertible Volante form. Underlying its many attributes is a chassis in the coupe that delivers 20 percent more stiffness than in previous years, while the Volante is 30 percent stiffer. The car is also incredibly balanced, with weight distribution of 51/49 percent front to rear. The revised independent suspension features 3-stage adaptive damping, with Normal, Sport and Track modes providing corresponding levels of performance depending upon driver preference and driving conditions. Stopping power comes courtesy of ventilated carbon ceramic brakes, which offer incredible stopping power. The DB9 rides on 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, with Z-rated Pirelli tires providing the grip. Both coupe and Volante are powered by an all-aluminum 6.0L V12, which produces 510 horsepower and 457 ft-lb of torque. The big engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with limited-slip differential and delivers quite athletic performance, with a 0?60 mph time of 4.6 seconds and top speed of 183 mph. Standard equipment in the DB9 includes a full-grain leather interior with walnut and graphite accents, heated mirrors, automatic HID headlights, automatic temperature control, satellite navigation and satellite radio, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, a premium audio system and a trunk-mounted umbrella. Optional equipment can take the DB9 to another level. This includes appearance features such as carbon fiber exterior accents and a range of 20-inch wheels, or interior pleasantries like a 1000-watt Bang & Olufsen stereo, exotic wood trims, a leather headliner, special seat embroidery, personalized sill plates and much more.
